The Benefits

The counsellor plays an active role in assisting you to overcome obstacles offering a balance of support and advice for both partners. Counselling will focus on resolving the important or core issues that are preventing your relationship from progressing towards satisfaction and contentment.

The most significant cause of financial hardship for separating couples is the division of wealth. Marriage and relationship counselling can help solve this issue by resolving the need to separate or by facilitating a more amicable separation.

Couple counselling can have positive effects on all family members. Often children are the ones that suffer in silence. Research indicates that the parents’ relationship has a large bearing on children's long term wellbeing. This can effect school performance, and later their own relationships. Happy mothers and fathers equal happier children.

Who is at fault?

Thankfully, marriage and relationship counselling is not about blame or pointing the finger. Nobody needs professional help to do this; it comes natural to us all. Counselling will offer the opportunity to learn more about how your relationship works and how interactions may reinforce and contribute to problems arising. It takes the input of two individuals to make a couple relationship work.
